  1. Deadline for applications tomorrow! There have been 52 students who have applied at the initial level, and about 33 that have gone to the next level in submitting an essay. We have interviewed 23 students this week and have 10 more to interview next week. Decisions will be made during Thanksgiving. Students will be contacted by phone or email. The Center for International Studies MUST have a $500 deposit on December 1st from students that are selected.

  2. We had a week of great interviews, then came the hard part: we had to take all applicants and verify that each one met ALL the strict requirements of the university and the Center for International Studies (gpa, minimum number of credit hours, enrolled full time in the two consecutive semesters at the time of application-- one past and one at present, etc). Then viable applicants that were interviewed were listed into the first list to be immediately invited to participate, and a waiting list to be invited upon an opening.

**We have a full set of 30 students- graduate and undergraduate who have been sent invitations to participate. ALL must submit a $500 deposit on or before December 1. THIS is a critical deadline. If you have questions regarding this deposit, please email or phone the Center for International Studies.

This is an amazing group of delightful people.

  4. It would be very cool if you would add your photo and as much on your profile that you will be comfortable with. I'd suggest first name and last initial only. Same kinds of security that you would want to have on MySpace or Facebook...
